Introducing CodeStilt: say it anywhere, your computer does it

Today we're launching CodeStilt. It is an AI coding agent built around one idea: you should be able to give a coding task from anywhere, and still be fully in charge of what happens on your computer.

Two halves that work together

The web dashboard at app.codestilt.com is where you give tasks, read plans, approve them and watch progress. It works in any browser, including on your phone.

The desktop app runs on the computer where your code lives. It opens only the folders you allow, sends the AI just what a task needs, writes the approved changes, runs your tests, keeps a checkpoint for undo and enforces the danger wall. The same program works as a command line tool.

A plan before every change

Every task starts with a plan: the steps in plain words, every file it may change, the risky steps it expects, the test command and the estimated credits. Nothing on your computer changes until you approve it. If the plan isn't right, click Change plan and say what to change.

Rules the AI can't break

The danger wall is code inside the desktop app, not an instruction to the AI. Deleting files, starting shells, downloading and history-changing Git commands are never allowed. Database commands, deploys and installing packages stop and ask you first. Secret files are never read.

Undo for everything

A checkpoint is saved before every task. One click puts every file back exactly as it was, for 7 days, with or without Git.

There's a Free plan with 100 credits a month and paid plans from $10. Every plan has a hard cap, every task shows its estimated cost before you approve it, and failed tries are free.
