Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 November 2026

1. Who we are

CodeStilt ("we", "us") provides the CodeStilt website, web dashboard, desktop app, mobile web app, command line tool and related services (together, the "Service"). Our office is near Ghanta Ghar, Multan, Punjab, Pakistan. You can reach us at hello@codestilt.com or +92 333 6338703.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you may accept these Terms for that company, and "you" includes the company. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.

3. Your account

You sign in with Google, GitHub, or a sign-in code or link we email you. Keep access to that email or account safe; anyone who controls it can use your CodeStilt account. Tell us at once at security@codestilt.com if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for activity under your account and on computers you link to it.

4. How the Service works

You describe a task. CodeStilt prepares a plan using third-party AI models. Nothing changes in your files until you approve the plan. The CodeStilt agent then runs on your computer, inside the folders you allow, and applies changes there. Our safety features (the danger wall, scope lock, checkpoints and undo) reduce risk but cannot remove it completely.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Review plans and changes before you rely on them, especially before deploying or publishing anything.
  • Keep your own backups and use version control. Checkpoints are a convenience, not a replacement for backups.
  • Only link computers and folders you are allowed to use, and only give the Service code you have the right to share.
  • Do not use the Service to break the law, to create malware, to attack systems, to infringe anyone's rights, or to get around our limits or safety features.
  • Do not resell, copy or reverse engineer the Service except as the law allows.

6. Your code and outputs

Your code stays yours. You give us permission to process the parts of your files that a task needs, only to provide the Service. Code and changes produced for you ("Outputs") belong to you, to the extent the law allows. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or similar to other people's code; you are responsible for checking it and for how you use it. We do not use your code or Outputs to train AI models.

7. Plans, credits and payment

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in US dollars through our payment provider. Each plan includes monthly credits. The estimated credits for a task are shown before you approve it. Your plan has a hard monthly cap: we will not charge you above your plan unless you buy extra credits yourself. Unused plan credits roll over for one month on paid plans; extra credit packs are valid for two months. Taxes may apply. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next billing period. Founding-customer price locks are honoured as stated when you subscribed.

8. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time in Usage and billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.

9. Third-party services

The Service uses AI model providers, a payment provider and hosting providers. Connectors you choose (for example GitHub or Slack) are governed by those services' own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, but we choose providers carefully and require them to protect your data.

10. Changes and availability

We work to keep the Service available and announce planned changes in the changelog in advance. We may change or stop features, but we will not reset your settings without telling you, and we will give at least 30 days' notice before stopping a paid feature you use.

11. No warranty

Apart from what the law requires, the Service is provided "as is". We do not promise it will be error-free, that AI output will be correct, or that it will meet every need.

12. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 6 months before the claim, or USD 100, whichever is higher. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Suspension and ending

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts other users at risk, or is used for fraud, after giving notice where reasonable. You can delete your account at any time in Settings. When an account is closed, we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Courts in Multan, Punjab have jurisdiction, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to solve the problem.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. For important changes we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
