Approve with Enter

codestilt task shows the full plan in your terminal: the steps, the files it may touch and the estimated credits. Press Enter to approve or n to say no, then watch the steps and test results.

  • --model auto|best|fast|saver on any task
  • Same danger wall and checkpoint as the apps
  • Undo command printed at the end

Run it on a server

On a build machine or a remote server, link once and run codestilt agent to wait for tasks without the control panel. Give tasks from the dashboard or your phone and they run there.

  • --yes approves only plans with no risky steps
  • Risky plans must still be approved in the dashboard
  • codestilt status --json for health checks

CLI questions

Straight answers to the questions people ask us most.

Is the CLI a different product from the desktop app?

No. It is the same program. Running codestilt with no command opens the control panel; with a command it works in the terminal. Same account, rules and undo.

Does --yes skip the danger wall?

No. --yes only approves plans that have no risky steps. Every command is still checked, never-allowed commands are still refused, and plans with risky steps must be approved in the dashboard.

How do I install it on Windows?

Download codestilt-windows-amd64.exe (or ARM64) from the download page, rename it to codestilt.exe, put it in a folder on your PATH and run it from a terminal.

Does the install script check the download?

Yes. It downloads the right program for your system, checks its SHA-256 against our published list, and installs it to ~/.local/bin/codestilt.

Can I use it in CI?

You can run tasks from scripts with --yes for plans without risky steps. Because the approval is the point of CodeStilt, anything risky always waits for a person.
