What a credit buys
A small fix uses about 1 to 3 credits. A new feature uses about 10 to 40. You see the estimate before you approve.
Fair rules
Unused plan credits roll over one month. When we stop a task after 3 failed tries, those tries are free. Upgrades keep your credits.
What a task usually costs
Credits depend on how much the AI reads and writes. You always see the estimate before you approve, and the real cost after.

1 credit = $0.005 of AI usage. Examples use Auto mode; Best quality costs more and Saver costs less. Your own tasks may cost more or less.

Hard monthly cap
When your credits run out, tasks pause. You are never charged above your plan.
Estimate before approval
Every plan shows the estimated credits, so you decide with the price in front of you.
Failed tries are free
If a task stops after 3 failed test runs, the credits for those tries are returned.
Alerts
Get an email when you reach your alert level, 80% by default.
Rollover
On paid plans, unused plan credits roll over for one month.
Free actions
Reading plans, approving, watching progress and undoing never use credits.
Pricing questions
What uses credits?
Planning and doing a task. Reading the plan, approving it, watching progress and undoing a task are free. The estimate is shown before you approve, and the real cost is shown on every finished task.
What happens when I run out?
Tasks pause and you get a notice. You can wait for next month, upgrade, or buy extra credits. We never charge you automatically above your plan.
Do unused credits roll over?
On paid plans, unused plan credits roll over for one month. Extra credit packs last two months.
Can I change or cancel my plan anytime?
Yes. Upgrades start right away and your unused credits move to the new plan. Cancelling keeps your plan until the end of the month you paid for, then moves you to Free.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. If you haven't used any credits, you can get a full refund within 7 days of paying. See the Refund Policy for the details.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard and other major cards. Prices are in US dollars; your bank converts to your currency. Enterprise customers can pay by invoice.
What is a credit worth?
One credit is $0.005 of AI usage. A plan's credits are what you can spend on planning and doing tasks each month.
Does the Free plan need a card?
No. Sign up and you get 100 credits every month with Fast and Saver models and one linked computer.
What happens to my credits when I upgrade?
Upgrades start right away and your unused credits move to the new plan.
Can I use my own AI key instead of credits?
On Pro and higher, yes. Add an Anthropic, OpenAI or Gemini key in Settings. Tasks that use your key don't use CodeStilt credits; your provider bills you directly. Keys are encrypted and shown only as their last characters.
How does the Teams plan bill?
Teams is $30 per person a month and gives a shared pool of 3,000 credits per paid seat. Owners can set a monthly budget per person. Contact sales or billing@codestilt.com to turn it on.
When do my credits reset?
Every 30 days from when your period started.
